Founder Director of Careers Smart, Usha Albuquerque is a gold medalist from Madras University, a nationally respected television personality and documentary film-maker, who pioneered career counselling on television 20 years ago with two widely acclaimed TV series. A winner of the National Film award, her media career was capped by the production of many documentaries on socially relevant issues, including “Seeds of Life”, which won the highest national film award in the country, and “Silent Killing” which was nominated for the UNICEF Child Rights Award. She has also written several books on careers and career counselling including The Penguin India Career Guide and the Career Guide for younger children published by Puffin, and co-authored, Alternative Career Choices, published by Macmillan. She has been on the governing body of Gargi College, Delhi University and the Goa University Council, and continues to conduct personal career counseling, and write and comment on education and career related issues for national and regional dailies, radio channels, and on television programmes and online sites.

Amrit Sujan is a graduate of the London School of Economics, a barrister and an MBA. With 30 years of senior corporate experience in HRM at one of the largest MNCs in India, and in Communication, as a consultant with the World Bank and other international consultancy firms, she brings a ‘recruiter’s’ perspective in guiding students formulating their career and educational strategies.
Amrit has served as a Trustee on the Board of the LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, and on the Advisory Board of The Hans Foundation. Co-author of “Alternative Career Choices”, published by Macmillan’s, she also contributes articles and expert opinion on educational, career and study abroad options.
